RSS, or Really Simple Syndication, is a powerful tool for business owners to deliver updates and blog content via email. Rather than inundating your user base with emails for every new blog post, RSS allows you to send periodic newsletters summarizing the content they might have missed. This guide will walk you through the process of creating and scheduling RSS email campaigns effectively.

Understanding RSS

RSS, an acronym for Really Simple Syndication, simplifies the process of receiving updates and curated content. In Email Marketing, an RSS email allows you to select a template, design content, and set delivery options using RSS scheduling for daily, weekly, and more.

Before diving into the process, ensure you have:

  • Created an email template for the campaign.
  • Verified the domain to send emails.

  2. Delivery Frequency: Choose from Daily, Weekly, or Monthly. Set your campaigns to automatically run on the last day of the month, adjusting for months with 31, 30, or 29 days.
  3. Time: Set the time for the RSS email campaign.  Your campaign can be scheduled and sent on the same day.
  4. Maximum Number of Feeds: Set a limit to avoid overwhelming your subscribers.
  5. Send on: Uncheck days when you don't want to send the RSS Email Campaign.

📌NOTE: The helper text updates to reflect the chosen execution days and disappears when no days are selected.

  1. Add the email address from which you want to send the campaign.
  2. Add the name for the recipients to see.
  3. Add the email's Subject line, this is required for sending. You can use AI to generate it for you.
  4. Add a short preview text to be displayed on the first look at the email.
  • Recipient (To): Select the contacts you want to send it to, if you are sending to a Smart List or Tag you can select to limit it to only the selected contacts or include any new ones that come into the system before the Send date/time.
  • UTM Tracking: The toggle switch allows you to enable or disable UTM tracking for your email campaign. When enabled, UTM parameters are automatically added to every link within the campaign.
  • Add Tag: Toggle on "Add Tags" in the RSS Schedule screen to apply tags automatically based on user actions, such as link clicks, enabling personalized targeting and efficient segmentation for your RSS email campaigns.

Once you're satisfied with the settings click Review and Schedule for the campaign to start sending out.
