Once a coupon expires, it is time to do some housekeeping, making sure to remove or renew them, update offer listings, and decide on your next steps. However, it's really easy to miss the expiry date as you go about your daily responsibilities. So, let's learn how to use workflows to make it easier!
Setting The Trigger
To start, navigate to the Workflows tab inside the Automation section and create a new workflow.

Click the plus sign icon to add a trigger and select Coupon Code Expired.

Adding filters
To limit which events trigger the workflow even further, click the “+ Add Filter” button. The main filters for this trigger are:
Coupon Code
This lets you limit the workflow to only specific coupon codes. To use it, select an operator. Finally, select the codes you want to trigger or exclude from your workflow.

Coupon Name
This lets you limit the workflow to coupons with a specific name, regardless of the code. Just like with the previous case, select an operator and add the coupon names you desire.

Coupon Type
This helps you define the discount type, between percentage or net amount, that your coupon applies to the orders.

Once you are satisfied with your selections, click “Save Trigger” to establish your changes.

There you have it, once you've finished with your workflow, you can test it or simply publish it. Now, it will take care of those pesky expired coupons for you!
