This module solicits referrals from existing customers and manages the referral process. It automates the outreach to referred contacts, tracks referral information, and notifies sales teams to prioritize follow-ups.

 

 

How It Works: Surface Level

When the automation fires:

  • It reaches out to existing customers asking for referrals.
  • It sends referral requests to potential new contacts based on customer referrals.
  • It notifies the sales team to follow up with referred contacts who respond.

 

Detailed Workflow Steps

Referral Request Workflow:

  • Trigger fires when the "Referral Request" tag is added to a contact.
  • Sends a message asking the customer to refer friends, including a trigger link.
  • The trigger link leads to a referral landing page in the funnel section.

Referral Landing Page and Custom Field Linking:

  • The customer clicks the trigger link and fills out a referral form on the landing page.
  • The system adds a custom field "Referred By" to link the new contact with the referrer.
  • The form collects the referred person's details and creates a new contact record with this information.

New Contact Tagging and Follow-Up Workflow:

  • Trigger fires when the new referral tag is added to the contact.
  • Sends follow-up messages to the new referral, introducing them to the business.
  • Uses customizable templates for the messages, which need to be edited before use.

Referral Response Tracking:

  • Trigger fires when the referred contact responds to the follow-up messages.
  • Adds a "Referral Replied" tag to the responding contact.
  • Notifies the sales team or assigned users to follow up with the responding referral.

  • Aggregates all tags used in the module.

  • Landing Page:
