Messaging Limits set boundaries on the amount of messages any sub-account can send out on a date, managing these limits allows you to help clients avoid unexpected costs and better manage their usage to avoid being marked as spam.

What Is This Tool For?

By default, this limit is capped at 5000 SMS per day after 8 days of using the platform. However, your client's needs might be greater or lower. By configuring their Messaging Limits you can make those needed adjustments, as well as calculate those limits on a message or segment basis.

How To Set The Limits?

Navigate to the Phone Numbers Section of the Settings of your desired sub-account.

Switch to the Advanced Settings tab and select the Messaging Limit option.

Click Update Limit to add your desired limit.

The limit will consist of three elements:

  1. Total: This will be the number of SMS or Segments.
  2. Type: Here you can select whether you want the limit to be measured on SMS or Segments.
  3. Duration: Define whether this limit will be daily or monthly.

Check the confirmation box to verify your choice and click Update Limit to save the changes.

In case a sub-account hits its sending limit, all the users would see a banner on the Phone Numbers page informing them that the account has reached their messaging limit. And, if configured, an email would also be sent to the configured emails when a sub-account has reached the limit.

Use this tool to help your customers manage their sending limits and use the platform to the best of their abilities. Resolving issues immediately, molding the limits to their specific needs, and minimizing the likelihood of refund requests related to overspending in SMS messaging.
