Coupons and promo codes serve as powerful incentives that can motivate potential customers to make a purchase. They are particularly effective in e-commerce funnels, designed to convert visitors into paying customers.
Coupons in the CRM allow you to offer fixed or percentage discounts on products. Please note that the coupon feature is intended for one-time products and does not support subscription-based products.
Create a Coupon Code
To create a coupon, navigate to the Payments Page and select Coupon. Click on the +Create Coupon button to initiate the process.
When filling out the necessary fields you can choose the type of Coupon that works for you. It could be a fixed coupon or a percentage coupon.
The percentage Coupon option shows the “percentage off” the Coupon code carries.
Also, the fixed Coupon option shows the discount the coupon carries appears at a fixed amount in your preferred currency.
Set the active time range to ensure that the coupon starts and expires on your preferred dates and time. Save the coupon by clicking the Create button.
While creating your coupon, ensure you review any additional options that may enhance its effectiveness, such as usage limits, minimum purchase amounts, or specific customer targeting.
Setting Up Promo Codes
Promo codes reveal a hidden discounted product in the order form when the code is entered, simultaneously hiding the full-price product. This setup is ideal for offering special prices to a select audience.
To prepare your products for promo codes, navigate to the Site page click on Funnels, and select the funnel you want to edit. You can either choose an existing funnel or create a new one from scratch by clicking the +New Funnel button.
Navigate to the Products tab in the funnel step you want to edit, then click the +Add Products button to add a product.
Here, you can add the product of your choice and save.
Navigate back to the Overview tab and click the Edit button.
Once inside the funnel step, click the + icon to access the elements panel, scroll down to order elements, and drag and drop the 2-step order icon into the page. In the 2-Step Order Form settings on the right side of your screen, head to the Advanced tab and toggle on the Enable Coupon Codes option.
Testing Your Coupon Code

Fill out your shipping details in the first tab.

Everyone loves a good deal! By effectively leveraging coupons and promo codes, you can motivate customers to make purchases while enhancing their shopping experience. When set up properly, these tools encourage sales and create a smoother and more enjoyable process for your customers.
Important Notes
When adding a coupon code to the checkout process, remember that a 100% off coupon requires customers to enter their card details for verification, especially if upsells are involved. This feature is compatible with Stripe but not with PayPal.
