Category Queues are the best tools your system offers to capture the post frequency that today's social media landscape needs. This creates groups based on their themes, so they are automatically repurposed in the future. However, if you feel they are becoming a little stale, it might be time for some reworking. Let's learn how to edit them.

Editing A Category

To start, head to the Social Planner tab inside the Marketing section and select “Content.”

Switch to the Category Queue tab.

Click the three-dot icon next to the category you wish to edit and select Edit Queue.

Modifying Posts

To spruce up a specific post, click it and the editor will open on the right. You can modify:

  • The posting channels.
  • The post's content, including captions, media, and tags.
  • Channel-specific options, such as post type or call to action.

If you make any mistakes during editing, don't worry, you can always click the cycle icon to go back to your last saved version.

If you want to keep the original version of a post and add a modified version to the queue, click the two-square icon to clone it.

Or click the trash can icon to remove the post from the queue.

Rescheduling Content

Drag and drop posts to rearrange their order in the Category Queue and change their posting date.

To reschedule the entire queue, leave the editing mode, then click the three-dot icon next to the category, and select Reschedule Queue.

Select the days with the top bar.

Use the two-square icon to apply your selected time to unselected days (1), the trash can icon to remove the corresponding time (2) , or the plus sign (3) to add timeslots to the selected day.

Once you're satisfied with your time spread, click Queue Posts in the bottom right corner.

Changing Queue Preferences

Additionally, you can select Queue Preferences from the options menu to change the queue's behavior.

Uncheck the box next to the preferences to disable them. These options are:

  1. Future Posts Queuing: Adds new content created in the category to the queue.
  2. Prioritize New Content: The new content will go to the front of the queue and be published first.

With this, you can easily edit, reorder, reschedule, and visualise queues without rebuilding them from scratch, helping you manage multiple brands, seasonal campaigns, and dynamic posting schedules. We hope this boosts your social media reach to wider audiences!
