Some services require tools that you have a limited number of. So for those physical assets, such as rooms, chairs, or stations, that are required to deliver a service, you have the resource tab. The resources tab helps you manage those assets needed to deliver a service, this ensures that when the service is booked, the associated resource is also reserved.

The information will be organized as:
- Name: This will show the name you gave to the resource, which is why we recommend adding the name of the tool directly, such as Conference Room.
- Total Capacity: This is how many people or appointments the unit can handle at once.
- Services Associated: These are all the services that this asset is added to.
- Locations Associated: If you're managing multiple branches, this helps you highlight where the resource is located.
- Status: This tag lets you know whether the tool is active (functional) or inactive (out of commission).
- Quick Actions: This three-dot icon lets you access the additional options, which are edit, modify status, duplicate, and delete.

Creating A Resource
Click + New Resource.

- Enter a name for the resource to help identify it easily. If you have multiple of the same asset, you'll need to add them individually, so when entering the name, it will look like “Room 1, Room 2.”
- Select Service: To link this resource directly to a service, select it with this dropdown menu.
- Location: Specify the location where this resource is available for use.
- Total Capacity: Use this section to define the total customers this resource can service simultaneously.
- Once you've filled out the information, click Create to save the Resource.

Managing Resources
For resources you've added to the system, you can click the three-dot icon to modify them.

This will give you access to the quick actions, which are:
- Edit: Clicking this option will open the same pop-up as when you're creating a service, allowing you to change any needed details.
- Deactivate/Activate Resource: If the resource status has changed, this will let you update it in the system. For example, if a machine broke or a room that was under repair is now available.
- Duplicate: This will create a copy of the resource.
- Delete: Use this option to permanently remove an asset from your resource list.

Resources can limit how many appointments are allowed at the same time, based on their defined capacity. So, adding them to your system helps you make sure your services are not just staff-dependent, but also tied to the real-world assets required to deliver them. Guaranteeing smoother scheduling, accurate availability, and a better customer experience.
