Gift Cards function as a prepaid balance that customers can purchase, send, or receive from your business. And since money is involved, it's important to be able to monitor their issuing and details, so let's learn how to do it!
To start, navigate to the Gift Cards tab inside the Payments section, select Total Gift Cards Issued, and select Orders.
All issued gift cards will be in this area regardless of their status or remaining balance.
To limit the results, you can use the filters to look for cards with a specific status (1), purchase value (2), or contact (3).
You can view the value (1), expiry date (2), and owner (3) on first glance. For more details, click the card to open the gift card order details page.
The gift card order details page contains:
- Purchaser or sender info.
- Recipient info.
- Hidden Gift Card number (visible by toggling the show gift card code option).
- Delivery method and schedule.
- Denomination and quantity.
And there you have it! Gift Cards sent directly without payment do not appear in the orders tab, so this will be your principal method of monitoring, making it easy to keep control of all issued gift cards and their details.
