The Date/Time Formatter Premium Workflow Action is a versatile feature designed to simplify date and time management in workflows. This feature allows users to reformat date structures, compare dates, and automate date-related calculations, saving time and ensuring consistency. In this guide, we will explore its capabilities, benefits, and practical applications across various industries.

Start by selecting a preferred trigger and then click the “+” icon to add the Date/Time Formatter Action.

Format Date

The Date/Time Formatter makes it easy to modify date formats. Select a date, and the feature will auto-detect its format. Once identified, you can choose a new format from the provided list, and the feature will apply the changes.

Format Date and Time 

For workflows involving both date and time, the formatter supports full reformatting. Select the field to modify, allow the feature to detect the current format, and select the desired format for better updates.

Compare Dates

This option simplifies date comparisons, such as calculating the number of days between two dates. Select a start and end date, and the formatter will determine the difference, enabling data-driven decisions.

📌 NOTE: When comparing dates the follow-up dropdowns will include the Start date, Start date format, End Date, and End date format.

Field Selection

In the field selection dropdown choose the date and time field you want to format. 

📌NOTE: This option is available for the Format date and Format date and time action types.

Select From and To Format

Choose the desired format in which you want the date to appear.

Remember to save the action once you are satisfied with your selections.
