As you create workflows and incorporate workflow triggers, you'll discover a category called Shopify Triggers. These triggers are specifically designed to streamline your e-commerce operations on the Shopify platform by automating essential processes such as monitoring incomplete checkouts, tracking placed orders, and confirming order fulfillment.

To get started, within the workflow builder, click “Add New Trigger”, search for Shopify and all the triggers associated with Shopify will appear. They Include:

  • Abandoned Checkout.
  • Order Placed, and
  • Order Fulfilled.

Abandoned Checkout

The Abandoned Checkout trigger allows businesses to reconnect with customers who browsed products but did not complete their purchases. This trigger can help recover lost sales by enabling workflows that send reminders, offer incentives, or address potential concerns that may have deterred buyers.

Order Placed

The Order Placed trigger activates workflows when customers place orders on your Shopify store. It automates tasks such as sending order confirmations, updating inventory, and initiating shipping processes, saving time and ensuring seamless order management.

Order Fulfilled

The Order Fulfilled trigger is designed to automate actions once an order is marked as fulfilled. This trigger helps businesses handle post-fulfillment processes like sending delivery notifications, requesting customer feedback, and launching follow-up marketing campaigns to encourage repeat purchases.

📌NOTE: Each Shopify Trigger is covered in individual articles for detailed guidance.

Shopify Triggers provide a powerful way to optimize e-commerce workflows by automating critical processes, enhancing efficiency, and improving customer engagement. By incorporating these triggers into your workflows, you can simplify operations and focus on scaling your Shopify store.
