Even if your Prospect's business does not have a physical location, you can find their virtual business’s Google Maps URL to generate accurate prospecting reports and analyze Virtual Businesses like never before!

To start, confirm that the business is listed on Google. If the prospect hasn't already done so, they will need to go to Google My Business, sign in with their Google account, and add and verify their business as a service-area business.

Search for the Business on Google Maps

Once the business is verified and listed, open Google Maps and enter the business name in the search bar.

If the business appears in the search results, click on it to open the listing.

Obtain the Maps URL

There are two methods to obtain the business’s Maps URL:

  • Method A: From the Address Bar- Once the business listing opens, check the address bar in your browser. The URL should appear similar to this format: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Your+Business+Name/@XX.XXXXXX,-YY.YYYYYY,17z/data=...

Copy this URL—this is your business’s Maps URL.

  • Method B: Using the "Share" Feature- In the business listing, click the "Share" button.

In the pop-up window, select "Copy link". The link that appears is your business’s Maps URL.

Using the URL in the Prospecting Tool

Now that you have your Maps URL, it’s time to use it in your Prospecting Tool.

Open the Prospecting Tool from Agency View in your account and click the option to add a new prospect.

Select “Search for Virtual Businesses”.

In the "Business Maps URL" field, paste the Maps URL you obtained.

With the correct URL in place, proceed with the rest of the form as usual and submit it to generate your prospecting report.

The Prospecting Tool will use the URL to provide more accurate results, ensuring your virtual or service-area business is correctly represented.

By following these steps, you can easily find and use Google Maps URLs to cater to a wider variety of prospects.
