Maintaining consistent communication with your customers creates an environment of trust and helps you build a strong positive image that lasts long with every person interested in your business, with the help of Text Templates (Snippets) you can easily keep the consistency up across the board by creating premade messages to quickly respond to your contacts. These templates can be used to respond to SMS and short chat messages such as Facebook or Instagram DMs.

Creating a Template

To create a new text template, start by clicking on the green + Add Template button on the top right of your screen under Templates in the Conversations tab of your CRM. A dropdown will appear for you to choose either Add Text Template or Add Email Template. In this case, click on Add Text Template. When you click on this button, a popup will appear to fill in your template details.

Required fields

When creating a text template there will be two required fields

1. Name: When creating a template, this helps ensure that you and your team can locate the right template quickly and easily when needed.
2. Message: The body section of the template is where you can type in your desired message. If you would like to make the message more personalized, you can add custom values and trigger links by clicking on their associated dropdown menus at the top of the box.

Attaching Files

If you would like to add a file from your computer or device to a text template, simply click on the paperclip icon at the bottom left near the template text. Through this feature, you can easily send images, documents, and other files in combination with the content of your message.

Saving a Template

Once your template is ready click the Save button to add it to your Snippet library.

Template Preview

To get a glimpse of how your text template will appear, simply direct your attention to the right portion of the screen. This section showcases the content of your template, including the body text values and any attachments that have been included.

Sending a Test SMS

It's a good idea to test the template by typing a Phone Number in the box under the message preview and then clicking the Send Test button.

Text Snippets allow you to easily communicate with your clients, whether it be via SMS messages, Facebook Chat, or Instagram DMs they'll help you relay the information needed.
