The Seasonal Communication module in your CRM system allows for the automation of holiday messages based on the contact’s country. Here’s how you can add new holidays to the snapshot:

Steps to Add New Holidays:

Navigate to the Seasonal Communication Module:

  • Open your CRM and go to the Seasonal Communication section.

Access the Workflow for Setting Holiday Names and Dates:

  • Identify and select the workflow responsible for setting holiday names and dates based on the contact’s country (e.g., Workflow 2.1 for the USA, 3.1 for Canada).

Add the New Holiday:

  • Within the workflow, locate the section where holiday names and dates are defined.
  • Add a new entry for the holiday, specifying its name and date.
  • Ensure the new holiday follows the format used for existing holidays.

Update the Workflow Triggers:

  • Make sure the workflow triggers correctly incorporate the new holiday.
  • Set the conditions to trigger the holiday email three days before the new holiday date.

Custom Fields Management:

  • Add custom fields if necessary for the new holiday’s name and date.
  • Update any related custom fields to ensure the new holiday is recognized by the system.

Template Customization:

  • Create or update an email template for the new holiday.
  • Customize the template with your brand’s messaging, links, and call-to-action elements.

Country Selection and Initialization:

  • Ensure the country selection tool and workflows are updated to recognize and appropriately handle the new holiday for the relevant countries.

Test the Changes:

  • Run tests with a few contacts to ensure the new holiday is correctly set up and messages are sent as expected.

New Update (Not in Video)

A recent update introduced a new workflow that checks once a day for updates to date fields. To use this feature, add your country to the daily check workflow. This ensures that any changes in the holiday dates are automatically recognized and updated, keeping your communications accurate and timely.
